"This is a great quirky spacious property with a beautiful view of the river. Claire the owner was helpful with advising on parking and places to eat. The big bath tub was a joy with plenty of hot water."

"Whilst very clean if you are sensitive to smell this may not be for you. As an old cellar you can pick up on dampness and whilst there are sprigs of lavender and scented candles around it doesn't completely cover the mustiness."

"The room was beautiful - very peaceful and right next to the river which helped us to sleep each night (temperatures in Arbois in August were extremely high and as there was no 'air conditioning', the open window was the only way to keep the room cool). The location was perfect, being next to the main church, opposite the Tourist Information Office and within a 5-10 minute walk to all restaurants/bars, wineries and the Louis Pasteur House museum. Claire was so friendly and welcoming, offering suggestions for dining, without being intrusive - we felt as if we were part of the local community as we sat and had our breakfast on the terrace each morning. The standalone bath was really cool!"

"We were prepared for minimal catering facilities and so had brought our own coffee bags - and there are several boulangeries/patisseries in the town for breakfast. However, given the high temperatures, the only thing that would have improved the room would have been a small fridge that could be used to keep food/drinks cool during the day or a way of keeping ice frozen."

"L'accueil de Claire était très chaleureux et elle s'est montrée très disponible. Le gîte est parfait pour une nuit. Il n'y a pas de liaison Internet ni TV mais c'était parfait pour une " coupure média " Bien situé à proximité du centre ville. L'accès avec des escaliers peut poser quelques difficultés à des personnes présentant des difficultés de mobilité."
