Les Jonquilles

"The room was very clean and spacious, with good facilities. Lovely bathroom with an amazing, powerful shower. Our host, Karen, was delightfully friendly and helpful, with plenty of advice about local walks and places to visit in the area. We also enjoyed a pre-arranged meal in the evening which was really tasty and well presented. There is a spacious courtyard where we spent the evening relaxing in the sunshine. The atmosphere was like a home from home and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived until we left after the generous continental breakfast. So much variety, and so fresh. We wish we had booked for longer, and we can't wait to return soon, but for a longer stay."

"What I liked was all about Karen. She was born to host. Last night she was incredible — warm, caring, and naturally made everyone feel welcome, almost like a mother to the whole place. She has that rare gift of making people feel at home."

"Les Jonquilles is a lovely welcoming and spacious house within a two minute walk of the local church, Chateau with its lake and surrounding park space and a boulangerie. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and would put many hotels to shame. The en-suite bathroom with its large shower and a copious supply of hot water was most welcome after a long drive. On arrival I was shown by Karen, a most attentive host, into the sitting room where I was welcomed by a roaring wood burner and cup of fresh coffee. Breakfast was ‘continental’ in format with boiled eggs, ham, cheese, baguettes and croissants on offer with fresh coffee and a selection of teas available."
