"Very very impressed with this guesthouse. The host has clearly perfected the art of catering for pilgrims on a budget. The kitchen is well equipped and each room has an allocated fridge and pantry space. There was a range of maps and guides left from previous pilgrims. There are 6 rooms, and 2 were occupied during my stay. Thanks for a great stay, please continue offering this wonderful service for pilgrims at a low price! Merci"

"La Petite Fontaine is a lovely gite for two, although it looks very small from the outside photos it really is quite spacious inside with a big bathroom upstairs. The charming owners stayed up until past 10pm to welcome us as we were running late and they were mines of information about the local attractions. Being in a tiny rural hamlet it is very quiet and there are several countryside walks that can be started from the front door. The location is good being right on the Charente/Dordogne border and the little town of Montbron is just a 20minute walk away or 4 minutes by car for little shops and eateries. Montbron also has a well-stocked Intermarché hypermarket with a petrol station and car charging points. The towns of Brantôme en Perigord (in the Perigord/Limousin national park) and Jarnac (in the beautiful Cognac region) are worthy of note within an hour's drive."

"We liked the location, the living space, the bedroom, the bathroom and separate toilet, it was all a good size and clean. Of course the view is fabulous, plus overlooking Alexandre Park makes it a lovely and very convenient to the city. There are also a few shops nearby and a good small supermarket 5 minutes walk away."

"We booked this apartment as the reviews were great and it offered good value for the money in a great location to visit both the centre of town and Champagne Avenue. There was no extra charge for our dog and as we were spending all day sightseeing and touring the Champagne houses this seemed perfect. Although the apartment doesn't come with parking other reviewers had said there was street parking outside and nearby so this was great as we have a car. The apartment has most amenities you need however we never used much as we were hardly there. It did get very hot during the night but the host had provided a fan which was much needed and used."

Their hospitality was unmatched, and they were always available to answer any questions or provide recommendations for things to do in the area. We truly felt like valued guests in their home, and our dog felt right at home too. The rental itself was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. We especially loved spending the evening on the terrace overlooking the river, taking in the views and listening to the sounds of nature while our dog played in the spacious garden I 100% recommend this dog-friendly rental enough to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with incredible views and a warm, welcoming host."
