La maison d’arles

"Mathieu and Sabrina were wonderful and generous hosts, who share their beautiful home with their guests. The breakfast was wonderful and access to drinks throughout the day as well as the roof terrace was wonderful. We loved our double room with kitchenette - it was at the back of the house so really quiet. The separation of the bathroom by a curtain was not an issue for us - it's as much privacy as you get in some hotels! I would definitely stay again. The accommodation is 10 minutes walk from the railway station and you can see the arena/amphitheatre from the front door."

"This is an ideal place to stay when visiting Arles, especially for the photo show. The hosts are lovely and helpful. The other guests were interesting and friendly. The breakfast was copious and delicious. The house is within easy walking distance of the photo show and the arène. Parfait."

"The description should warn that this place is not suitable for mobility impaired people. Stair climbiong is required."

"Mat and his wife, the landlords, are exceptionally welcoming and friendly. When I got there, the door was locked and I was anxious about getting in because the taxi wanted to leave. Then Mat opened the door and all my troubles were over. They are great cooks and breakfast was very good. They welcome you into their home and make you feel at home."

"The bed was too hard for me and had a weird dip in it. Fortunately, the sofa was comfortable. No other issues."

"Just perfect. And literally and metaphorically extremely “ cool”… Super air conditioning, which given heat- wave was greatly appreciated. Very good position near the Roman amphitheater; with a super roof terrace with a lovely view."

"We received a very warm welcome at check in and our host was always at hand throughout our stay. Not all like a chain or corporate hotel. The location is terrific, close to the Amphitheatre and no more than a 10 minute walk to lots of great restaurants. There was lots of choice at breakfast including home made yoghurts, jams and pastries. A bonus was to be able to have breakfast on the terrace."

"Matt and Sabrina were very friendly and welcoming hosts. Their house was in an excellent location for visiting all of the main sites in Arles - everywhere was within walking distance. The breakfast provided was absolutely delicious, with so many different foods provided. The hosts also very generously provided a range of drinks for guests."
