"Rent og velindrettet værelse. God kvalitet i forhold til prisen. Venlig betjening. Aftensmaden kan indtages på "truckerspisested", der ligger i naboejendommen. Også her rækker pengene langt. Konceptet er, at man betaler først, så bestilles hovedretten, hvorpå man kan tage forret fra buffet og efterfølgende dessert fra en anden buffet. Begge buffeter er righoldige, og hovedretten er stor. Vi spiste og drak 3 voksne for EUR 52,50, og vi var så mætte, at den ene sprang desserten over. Såvel hotel som spisested får vores varme anbefaling."

"It was really simple to access from the motorway. Simple but stylish design in our bedroom. The wall lights were especially clever! Friendly, informative reception staff. Very comfortable bed and immaculately clean everywhere. Probably the best French breakfast we’ve had in an hotel, served by a friendly lady. The staff seemed to be local people, which was pleasing. We saw the biggest bug hotel ever, covering the end wall of the building. The hotel is on the edge of an industrial area and someone obviously wants to help the local wildlife. We took photos and plan to replicate it at home. The routiers restaurant next door was a revelation - our meal for 2 - Leffe beers, an enormous buffet selection, appetising main course, a great dessert buffet and a good espresso to finish. Total bill? £34.00……. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly - a very positive experience all round. Based on our experience, Hotel MacBed is 100% RECOMMENDED for anyone travelling through Poitiers."

"This was a great find! Extremely welcoming and friendly hosts couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is clean, lovely bedding and towels and a good value continental breakfast for €6.90. Two minutes off the A10 it was a perfect stopover after a long day travelling. First impressions of the location are strange as it is basically in the middle of an industrial estate but don't let that put you off! It has a nice, quirky outdoor space and it felt very safe leaving our loaded car there overnight. As we were tired and didn't want to venture out too far for food, Claude the host recommended Au Top du Roulier, just around the corner, where all the truck drivers eat, and what a great experience that was! Three courses, as much as you could eat for €14! And €2 for half a litre of very drinkable wine! All in all a great night's stopover!"
