"The location near the marina was perfect for us. The room was well served by large windows, one with a marvellous view out over the marina. The owner was very obliging and did all in her power to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was extra, it was basic but satisfying. Plenty of places to eat or shop within a short walk. The general ambience was warm and friendly. Great value for money during a peak period."

"The room was very comfortable although my wife was itching a bit from what she thought were little mites. Bathroom okay, though the shower cubicle was rather snug. No kettle facilities in room a small negative. Flight of stairs a challenge for the less mobile."

"Large airy room. Spotlessly clean. The hotel room was very comfortable. The hotel would benefit from a lick of paint throughout but it was clean and comfortable. The lady on the reception was extremely helpful. Excellent garage parking attached to the hotel for our motorbike."

"We chose the Renaissance Hotel for it's location close to the ferry terminal and various restaurants and were very pleased with the comfort and cleanliness of the room and the warmth of the staff. The breakfast was very good and overall the hotel is value for money."

"Hotel is in the centre of the town near all the waterfront resturants. Plenty of free parking nearby and the hotel provide their own secure parking at a small extra cost (book in advance). Staff very friendly (and English speaking). Continental breakfast is freshly prepared and served to table. No traffic noise so a good night's sleep was had. I'd be happy to recommend this place."
