"The gite was very comfortable and warm, with everything we needed while there. Guillaume and Elodie were delightful, very friendly and patient with our halting French. They were knowledgeable about local sights and extremely helpful. Having the pool open (and slightly heated) towards the end of October was a bonus (for our children at least - we weren’t brave enough to go in). The property has been thoughtfully designed so that, while there are several gites, each feels private, and has its own separate outdoor area. The setting, with the cascades, is beautiful and it is handily located for the town centre and restaurants. We would thoroughly recommend it!"

"It was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect for visiting many tourist sites in the Dordogne. It had parking onsite which was easy to access. Elodie and Guillaume were super friendly and helpful."

"A wonderful location with plenty places of interest to visit nearby. The local village, Les Eyzies, is very charming with dramatic cliffs and a relaxed atmosphere. In the evening we visited the light show bringing the cliff face to life – with projections that tell the history of the area in a magical way. Guillaume and Elodie were very responsive and did their best to make our family stay as comfortable as possible. Guillaume took us on an informative and fascinating tour of the old forge at Comtesse de Dordogne, which is full of character and history. The river, weir and lake adjacent to our accommodations are so pretty and the sound of the water very calming. Thank you for a very special family holiday and many happy memories."

"We cannot overstate how much we LOVED this holiday. It is such a fabulous location with so many wonderful things to see and do. From the boulangerie a few steps away to all the wonderful restaurants within easy walking distance of the accommodation. As well as the lovely house and epic views. We will definitely be back."

"Elodie and Guillaume (who run the site)! They were helpful, relaxed, friendly and full of good advice about the area and local restaurants. The river Beune running past our patio was a bonus - and exactly as shown in the photos of the property, When the sun moved in the evening we had a second patio immediately opposite our front door - just across the river. We used the swimming pool once, to cool down after a very hot day - it was a treat. The beds were as comfortable as we have ever found on our travels. The shower was spacious and the electric towel rail meant beautifully warm towels in the morning. The very nature of the building, and its proximity to the river, meant that we used the dehumidifier which was provided but at no point did we feel that the house was damp. We hope to return for 3 weeks in September....."

"Our accommodation was impacted by noise from the weir on the stream that runs through the property. However, having looked at the property online beforehand we realised this might be the case. Did not detract from the excellence of the accommodation."
