"The hotel is a lovely old manor house in the countryside close to the not very attractive town of Roanne. It is extremely peaceful and has loads of atmosphere. Olivier runs it charmingly and profesionally."
"The only slight blemish was the coffee machine which produces very strong and bitter coffee. But this was only very minor and breakfast itself was fine."
"The host Olivier is extremely knowledgeable about the area and he goes over and beyond to make sure that the guests are having a good time, even if just staying one night like we did. He booked a great restaurant for us for diner. He also kindly helped me after our stay as I had forgotten a dress in the bedroom and he shipped it back to me. The service and the welcome was really excellent, the breakfast was delicious. A great place to stay when visiting Roanne and the surrounding area."

"A lovely building and gardens with everything we needed for a very peaceful and comfortable stay. The children were able to use the very well maintained outdoor swimming pool when we arrived. Oliver was a fabulous host, even finding us a restaurant locally for dinner and booking this in for us shortly after we arrived. We will definitely return."

"The house is splendid and is still work in progress although not in the areas currently open. The rooms are simple but comfortable and there are areas for relaxation and eating that are quirkily but fittingly designed and furnished. The promised view was given. There was a swimming pool but the weather wasn't great and so we didn't use it sadly. The owner was very friendly and helpful suggesting restaurants for dinner."

"The location offers you great value for money as you are bang on in the city centre and walking distance from everywhere. The hotel staff were good and the rooms were fairly clean. The only let down I did have was that the main light switch in our room didn’t work and so we had to use the lamps. All in all if you are looking for a budget stay in Bordeaux that offers you exceptional value for money then this is a good place."

"The staff is amazing and very helpful if you have any questions. The hotel restaurant has very good regional dishes. The room has everything you need if you go for a ski weekend in nearby Clusaz. The ski resort is reachable in ~10m by car. The hotel also has a common room that you can ask in the reception to use if you want to play some boardgames or billiard. The breakfast is small but has everything you need - tea/coffee, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt, fruits, spreads, fresh bread etc. There are some restaurants near the hotel too but be aware they close around 21-22."

"2nd time we have stayed here. We love the pool and hot tubs (although there were 3 last year and only 2 this year) Hammam was being repaired but we were warned about this when booking. The Chinese restaurant next door is a highlight. Will stay again, its a very convenient stop over for us when driving back to the UK from the alps"

"What a lovely stay we had. I wish it could have been for longer. We were 2 friends staying in a room with 2 doubles and were delighted to be upgraded to a room with a bit more space and a better view. Great facilities for 2 couples and good value for money. It felt luxurious, with a super view from the balcony. Lovely pool and breakfast too plus having parking on site was a huge plus. The staff were very friendly and professional. I am particularly impressed because I left some clothes in the wardrobe that were kindly sent on to me very efficiently, with no complaints. Thank you very much for your kindness. Would love to come back."
