"After several days on "city breaks" we headed to the countryside and stayed at Augerge du Herisson. It was perfectly located for a bit of hiking (up to Pic de l'Aigle and down the Cascades d'Herisson). Well worth a couple of days. The room was comfy with free WiFi (useful given the mixed mobile coverage in the area), the food at the restaurant was good (also useful because it's a bit of a trek to other places to eat which isn't easy on motorbikes, probably easy in a car)."

"The room was nice and comfortable. The bathroom/shower was a little awkward, but worked well. Staff was helpful and friendly. Supper and breakfast were fine and enjoyable. The hotel is located at a crossroads in an area of exceptional natural beauty. Still pleasant and quiet in early June, but expect it might get a little crowded in full season."

"Luckily for us, we were practically the only guests, and we were spoiled using the great sized pool for ourselves and by the hosts, who are exceptional in their friendliness and great service. We took advantage of the half board service, and our meals were perfection. It was a short stay on our way back home, but it was a memorable stay to close out the early summer holidays. We hope to be back for a bit longer stay next time."
