"At Finca Agroecológica El Rosal, I was treated as a special member of the family! Lily, Hermania and Ramiro warmly welcomed my friend and I, then arranged a set of tours to fill the afternoon and the next morning. We toured their 100% organic farm, learned about all the natural products they produce, met the animals and gawked at the beautiful vistas. After an amazing lunch, we helped harvest coffee cherries, then ground and roasted them for a delicious cup of Cafe Intag. For the evening, we harvested yuca, and made "pan de yuca" over the wood fire before settling into another delicious meal. In the morning we got to see where the women of the community harvest aloe vera and process it into natural cosmetics. The whole weekend was a lesson in biodynamic agriculture and generosity from a wonderful family living remotely in the beautiful Intag Valley! Don't hesitate to visit this Finca!"

"Værten og hans familie, var meget afslappet, uformelle, og venlige. Vores værelse var større end vi havde forventet, med en vidunderlig altan, hvor vi kunne spise morgenmad og aftensmad. Flot udsigt over markerne. Hyggelig med dyrene på stedet. Der er rent, Der er fælles toilet og bad, og en del trapper op til værelset. P plads på stedet. "Vacker omgivning i bergen, ca 2 km från Ribeira Grande. Lugnt. Det fanns varmvatten i badrummet och wifi. En närbutik i samma hus och eget kök."

Realised dishes and cutlery were not very clean when we wanted to eat. Possibly, previous travellers are to blame for this

There is no place to get fresh tea or coffee at the accommodation or in the village unless you bring your own. A very small inconvenience because there is a great restaurant next to the monastery a few minutes drive away.

"It's a lovely big property in a remote location, although the rooms we stayed in were old it's perfectly comfortable we joined for dinner which was a lamb asado and it was very nice, I'd suggest checking the price of a bottle of wine before you order as we ended up with one more expensive than we thought!. The breakfast was fairly basic but fine for us. It is quite expensive but for what it is, but it's also remote and there's really no other options unless you go to Gobernador."
