"The welcome was warm and the property is very attractive and well maintained. Our room was spacious, beautifully furnished and had every amenity. We enjoyed a truly excellent dinner."

"We stayed 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is a laid back place, with a quiet nature feel even though it is close to main roads. There is a truck stop and toll gate close by but you hardly notice once you get to the hotel. Quick access to San Sebastián, Hondarribia and airport. The entrance road looked a little challenging but was quite fine really. We loved breakfast, with fresh fruit and eggs made to order. The restaurant is great in its own right, we had a lovely meal there. But most of all, the staff at Usategieta is wonderful. We were told in advance that there would be a wedding at the hotel on the day of our arrival and that the restaurant would be closed. But we were made comfortable with an outdoor place to sit, and a cold plate and drinks. There was some music to be heard from the wedding but not disruptive and it stopped at midnight as indicated. Overall the staff are friendly and helpful."

"Maybe just that for a 4 star hotel, one might expect things to be better maintained. There were aome loose tiles outside. And the aircon in our room did not work properly. None of this impacted our experience though, we had a great time"

"We chose the Hotel for it's location- not far from the motorway and on the border between France and Spain. It was purely a stopover. the room was a good size, as was the bathroom. the surroundings looked pretty but it was raining hard when we got there so had little chance to explore. The meal in the restaurant was excellent, restricted to being served betwwen 7.30 -9.30pm - which suited us fine. Breakfast had a good choice and there was also a hot menu if desired. Weddings take place here so something to bear in mind when booking."

"Great location near motorways and San Sebastian but feels like you are staying in the countryside. Nice friendly staff, good sized room and warm. It was cold weather but the large terraces look good for better weather. Plentiful parking. Excellent evening meal, a bit pricey but really enjoyed it. Good breakfast. Will look for an excuse to visit again!"
