"Lovely location, great views, peaceful surroundings and lots beautiful hydrangeas. We arrived very late at night due to a flight cancellation, so it was arranged for the night guard to let us in. We were the only ones staying (off season) and Robert took good care of us in the morning and made us a good breakfast. He was friendly and chatty."
"The room was cold and damp. Perhaps a heater in the room or a dehumidifier would be a good idea. Only basic breakfast included in the room rate, so we had to pay extra for what we wanted. I would expect more as it’s not cheap to stay here."

"We had a lovely 2 night stay at Chayote Lodge and it was the perfect place to relax after a long flight. The views from the room were amazing both during the day and night with all the lights of San Jose. The area is so peaceful and we really enjoyed a tour of a local coffee farm and an early morning bird tour, where the guide was so enthusiastic and we saw so many birds including toucans."

"Wunderschöne Zimmer, jedes in einem eigenen kleinen Gebäude mit grandioser Aussicht auf Vegetation und das Zentraltal. Wir waren nur eine Nacht hier und obwohl wir schon mittags ankamen, wollten wir keinen Ausflug machen sondern haben einfach nur die schöne Terrasse genossen. Das Restaurant ist auch gut und man hat von dem Hügel eine tolle Aussicht auf den Sonnenuntergang über der Pazifik-Küste."
"Das im Preis inkludierte Frühstück ist recht klein. Die Zusatzangebote sind gut und auch nicht überteuert, aber bei dem Gesamtpreis erscheint die Abgenzung doch etwas kleinlich."

"Excellent food - we had several meals here and everything was outstanding. Great service and very helpful staff. Apartments were lovely as were the gardens and mountain views. There are three trails you can walk from Villa Calas - we did them all and all were lovely. Well located for visiting Poas Volcano and La Paz waterfalls which was the highlight of our stay."

"I\nLike to help clean and comfortable.The beds were and how obviously quiet they were meant to be.And the balcony was amazing addition. I found confusing.Where's the bathrooms had signs on them with specific numbers that seem to be assigned to room that were a little confusing.I'm not sure if there was a room there or if it was another room.It was a confusing sign that said number six or number five , but the bathroom souls probably could use more hooks on the wall , but other than that was great"

"Vi havde et skønt ophold på Yubarta Lodge. Cecilia er en sød og hjælpsom vært, som er meget opmærksom på gæsterne. Stedet har en skøn pool, og en dejlig stor have med cikader og fuglesang. Vi havde endda selskab af en stor flok røde ara papegøjer i et træ tæt på haven. Der er et velfungerende køkken med alt udstyr og køleskab. Vi nød beliggenheden med gå afstand til stranden og nationalparken. Prisen på værelserne er rigtig god. Vi nød også vandautomaten med frisk koldt vand."
