"Casa Chicua is an adorable little cottage, rustic but comfortable, and Juan (the host) couldn’t have been any friendlier or more accomodating. It’s super close to the Volcán Irazu so perfect for an early morning visit there. The views from the cottage are also amazing, we awoke early to find ourselves above the clouds. Enchanting!"

"Cute little house close to Irazu Volcano National Park. It's a little old fashioned but had a well equipped kitchen. A good option for an early start at the volcano. Make sure you book entrance tickets to the volcano online in advance - they are not available on the gate."

"Una bella cabaña que ofrece una fantástica experiencia cultural costarricense. Quedé enamorado del lugar, sus diversos detalles, su simpleza y su humildad. Es un lugar limpio, muy seguro y acogedor. Los calentadores e internet son una maravilla. La atención de los anfitriones fue muy amable y muy eficiente. Disfruté cada minuto de esta estancia y volveré con gusto en un futuro. Gracias por una estadía tan memorable."
"Todo me encantó realmente. Como tip a la hora de la ducha caliente, les recomiendo poner el calentador pequeño dentro del baño (obviamente fuera de la ducha) para calentar más el aérea y así sentir un mejor calorcito. Lamentablemente, la lavadora estaba fuera de servicio y esa amenidad era clave para una perfecta estancia, pero los anfitriones fueron muy amables por explicarnos las razones del problema. Por dicha, pudimos lavar a mano en la pila de la cocina ;)"

"Perfect location for exploring Volcan Irazú. The hostess and owner were very responsive with questions and concerns. The house has heaters to take the chill off, and the kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals there. The beautiful view and friendly people, birds, dogs, cows and goats were a bonus."
