Det atmosfæriske Stiftung Kartause Ittingen, der daterer sig tilbage til 800 år, er et tidligere Charterhouse-kloster, der ligger i Warth. Dette unikke sted har labyrint-have, privat mejeri og spiseområde. Kartause Ittingens store grund indeholder derudover mejeriet, der producerer 6 forskellige typer ost, yoghurt, smør og creme. Alle disse kan smages i den stilfuld café, der ligger inden for de historiske mure. Klosteret producerer udover det sin egen vin. De frisk hyggelige rede har bevaret stilhedens stilhed og har badeværelse, tv og gratis internet via kabel. Mange af gæsteværelserne har desuden balkon med betagende udsigt over den private park. Kantonmuseet Thurgau og Ittinger Museum ligger begge i samme bygning. Gæsterne kan tage på vandre- og løbeture i de store haver og parker. Der er derudover mulighed for at spille haveskak.

"Kartause Ittingen is a truly special place. The old monastery site has a cluster of beautiful buildings, lovely grounds and is perched high on the valley side such that there are fantastic views all day long. I walked up the steep hillside vineyards one morning and it was magical. The breakfast and evening meals were healthy, with lots of variety and high quality. The room was minimalistic, with clean lines, gorgeous furnishings and beautiful materials (lots of natural wood). Also loved that they had a book on steps to reduce your environmental footprint in each room. Hats off, Kartause Ittingen!"

"The nature around is very nice, a lot of green and beautiful scents. I am sorry we didn't get to explore all the surroundings as we didn't have time. But the garden is a joy to the eye. The food was delicious and many of the ingredients were locally sourced. Very nice surprise this accomodation!"
