"We had a spatious room on the first floor with big windows, a seating area and sun all day. The heater was good, so we had a comfortable 3 night stay. The wifi was good, the beds were comfortable and it was quiet at night (only barking dogs every now and then). The cook is a very friendly men who prepared nice food. So we had a perfect stay."

"Loved the stay. The hostess was so sweet. Even lent me her traditional gown to attend Thimpu. They went out of their way to make our stay memorable."

"We had a room with large windows looking out to the Dzong. Because of the large windows, the room gets a good temperature during the day (mid Nov), for the night there is a small heater. The beds were very comfortable. The shower had good water pressure. The hotel arranged an airport pickup, a guide for an excursion to the Buddha and the Dzong, as well as a transfer to Paro. All at good rates. The hotel is older, which gives it character and in turn our stay was very affordable."

"Wangdue Eco Lodge is a lovely place tucked high above the Dzong, with amazing views from the room that really make the stay special. The staff were very kind and helpful throughout. Dinner and breakfast were simple but perfectly adequate. The rooms are very spacious, though they could benefit from a few extra touches to make them feel cosier, as they felt a little empty. Overall, a pleasant stay with beautiful views and a peaceful setting."

"It was a comfortable stay. The breakfast was tasty. We also ordered dinner in the hotel. The rates are genuine. The room and washrooms very spacious Overall everything was good especially the mouth refreshner served at the reception."

"The hotel is clean and modern, and while it's a little further away from the centre of Thimphu this usually won't matter since you need a driver to do most things anyway. My room was comfortable, with a heater and heated mattress to stay cosy on the colder nights. The staff were friendly and helped me book tours and taxis. The food was good and the portions were large. It was a little too cold to use when I visited but the rooftop lounge looked lovely as well. All in all I think this hotel is a great choice for the price."
