It was also surprisingly quiet, even though it's so close to the centre of the city."

"One of the features of the property is a superb old spiral staircase. The details suggest you don't bring big bags, but there's only so far you can go with this if you are staying for several days. I have to admit that I found the stairs really challenging, particularly when I arrived and when I left. I also found it difficult to locate the property. I think there was a picture in the details I was sent but there's a lot to sort out when you arrive in a new city for the first time. I realise that it's better for security if it's not obvious that this is holiday accommodation, but maybe there is a better way to sort this out. I also realise that it's not possible to meet all guests, but I didn't pick up from the details on Booking that this was not a staffed accommodation. One small thing would be to offer some slightly softer pillows."

"L'Epicentre has an ideal location, in the very center. The street is lively but not noisy. Though it is an old building it is very well renovated with attention to small details and decorations. The apartment was spotless clean and the bed was comfortable. We also liked the kitchen and the coffee we had there. We were surprised at first by the narrow staircase but got used to it and came to like it as a special feature that gives character to the building."
