Hôtel Le Roy

"We stayed at the hotel at Leroy in early March and had previously stayed when it was Infinity on the Beach. We really liked the improvements that have been made, particularly the beach setup with the new sunbeds and parasols. The beach team were excellent, with Stephen especially standing out. The new bar area and juice bar are great additions and we enjoyed having fresh juices most days, with Shanice making particularly good ones. The staff overall seemed happier than on our previous visit and the reception team were excellent, with Dina taking great care of us. The pool is more of a plunge pool rather than somewhere you can properly swim, however the addition of comfortable chairs and beds around the area is a nice touch and well used by guests."

"There has not been a great deal of change to the rooms and we are not convinced the increase in price is fully reflected in the bedroom facilities. On a previous visit we stayed in a suite, however the higher pricing prompted us to try a garden view room this time. With a larger bed this would have been much more comfortable for us. Our first room backed onto the staff quarters and a door that was constantly being opened and closed, which meant noise from around 6.15 in the morning. The team did kindly move us to a quieter room on the other side of the courtyard, which was much better. We only ate in the restaurant once and found it to be average, so it would not be entirely fair to comment further based on a single visit."

"Small hotel, right on the beach. Great staff, always friendly and helpful. One of the best beaches on the island. With lifeguards. Good food and plenty of restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk."

"I stubbed my toe quite badly on the small ledge going into the room. They should put a started ledge to stop that possibility as it’s also easy to trip going into the room. Service in the restaurant was very slow at times. Waited over an hour for a club sandwich."

"Stayed on a room only basis as plenty of cheaper and good food options available within a short walking distance - we liked the Jamaican food (at Irie foods) and there is also a good supermarket close by. We had a garden view room and by reqiuest we were allocatd a room on the first floor rather than ground floor so it was more secure and private. The room was set back from the beach, close to reception, but we still had a partial sea view which was an unexpected bonus. We had a small fridge and the coffee/teamaker was resupplied daily. There was a safe in the cupboard just big enough to get a laptop 358mm wide inside (twisted to put in then wide enough to lie flat). Plenty of spare space for a large camera and other valuables. Aircon very good. Towels available for the beach from reception. Lovely sunsets. The room 'key' was a smart flexible wristband - very practical. We took the hotel transfer to the airport 30USD for the two of us."

"A couple of nights there was music from outside until 1am but less than we expecvted. The fastening on the doors to the balcony was well worn so the doors were diffiicult, but not impossible to lock. Just a little maintenance needed. No lift but we knew this in advance. Reception staff helped to get our bags up to the room."

"Location of the hotel is really good and the beds were so comfortable (plural because we had friends staying also and they said the same) Recommend the breakfast - good choice and amazing cocktails - very reasonable especially during Happy Hour twice a day!"

"Hotel Le Roy is perfect situated on the beautiful Dover Beach, many bars and restaurants nearby, the bus stop is around 7 min walk distance , we had a lovely time there ! Highly recommended !"
